Humans have kept bees for over 9,000 years
Cave paintings from 7000 BCE show wild honey harvesting. Organized beekeeping began in ancient Egypt around 2400 BCE.
Honey never expires
Honey that was found in Egyptian tombs that were 3,000 years old was still edible.

A honeybee produces just 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime. Filling one jar takes 60,000 bees and 2 million flowers.
